The Hamsa hand is not only a well-known symbol in Buddhism, but it is also well recognized around the world. It is an old Middle Eastern amulet that represents God's hand. It is a sign that signifies protection and is supposed to offer its possessor happiness, luck, good health, and good fortune regardless of faith.

Depending on how you wear it, the talisman brings good fortune or wards off evil. If the hand is pointing downwards, the owner is embracing goodwill and wealth from the cosmos. A hand facing up (usually with an eye) repels the evil eye and protects the wearer from misfortune.
Let no sadness come to this heart,
Let no trouble come to these arms,
Let no conflict come to these eyes,
Let my soul be filled with the blessing of joy and peace.
