AJL provides cleaning service to all of their clients, your jewelry will be cleaned and revived with great care. The service costs $25. which includes full cleaning, and secure delivery return service. Please allow up to 2 weeks for us to complete and return your jewelry.
Tips for caring your jewelry at home.
ALWAYS remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing or showering.
TO CLEAN your jewelry, wipe with a soft, moist cloth and ensure the piece is dried well. Avoid harsh detergents and never use jewelry cleaner on fashion pieces.
It is vital to store your jewelry correctly. Keep your jewelry in separate boxes to prevent any damage and fix all chains and catches before storing flat. Wrap single portions in tissue or towels free of acid. Your purchase is enveloped in anti-tarnish tissue paper.
- Do not use tarnish-removing dips or silver polishes. These will damage the patina of your jewelry.
- Do not use lemon-scented brands of liquid soap.
- Do not use a polishing cloth on any plated jewelry designs.
How to Care for Your Plated Jewelry
Apply cosmetics, hair products, lotions, perfumes and powders prior to donning your jewelry.
Prevent your items from being exposed to moisture.
Remove your pieces before showering, swimming, sunbathing and exercising.
Prevent damage and breakage by removing your jewelry at bedtime.
Keep all wearable pieces of art out of direct sunlight.
Metals may tarnish over time due to oxygen and natural body oils.
To reduce tarnishing, store jewelry in a sealed bag or box in a dry, dark and cool place.
Gold-Plated Jewelry Designs
AJL offers designs in 14 and 24 kt gold-plating. To extend the life of your plated jewelry, do not use a polishing cloth on these designs. Plating can be damaged or removed by harsh chemicals, cosmetics and solvents, and can also wear off if jewelry comes in contact with hard surfaces over time. Gold-plated designs may require periodic re-plating, available through AJL Jewelry for a nominal fee.
